Helmets Are Very Important

Posted on Friday, May 22nd, 2009 at 5:15 am

When taking part in an activity that has the potential to cause trauma to the head,  it is a good idea to wear a helmet. Helmets can save your life if it can help to lessen the blow of a head injury.

For many activities, it is very important to protect yourself.  Activities such as motorcycle riding, AVT riding, or many contact sports require the use of helmets.

Many accidents can not be prevented, which is an unfortunate truth.  Because of this, you must take the precautions to limit the severity of any possible accident and a helmet is an important step in limiting the risk of injury.

Man Arrested Again for OWI

Posted on Friday, May 8th, 2009 at 4:44 am

An Onalaska man has been arrested recently for OWI.  What makes this case different from other OWI cases is that the man was convicted of an earlier OWI accident where a friend was killed after he crashed.  The previous incident occurred in 1999.

The man was stopped by authorities for erratic driving behavior.  The man then admitted to officers that he had drink more than 6 beers in a period of about three hours.  The man was arrested for the OWI, and will likely receive harsh treatment since he is a repeat offender.
