Scout Leader and Boy Scout Killed in Accident

by Administrator 24. June 2009 04:45

A Boy Scout leader and a Boy Scout recently were killed in an accident as they were taking a trip to a rock-climbing event.

The two died, and two other Scouts were injured  when a large motor home crossed into their lane and caused a head-on collision.  The reason the motor home crossed into the other lane was that the owner of the motor home had a dog in the vehicle. While driving the motor home, the dog jumped into the man's lap and caused the accident.

Charges could be pending in this case following an investigation.  Charges could range from minor to very serious,  depending on the conclusion of the investigation.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Upholds Drunken Driving Arrest

by Administrator 19. June 2009 06:04

The State Supreme Court of Wisconsin recently ruled against a man who was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The event in question took place in the early morning hours  in January of 2007.  Police arrived at the scene to find the man outside of his car which was damaged, covered in gasoline, and unconscious.  Police charged the man with OWI after reviewing his drivers license and finding he had a previous OWI charge.

The man and his lawyer have claimed that not enough evidence was there to arrest the man on the charges.  The court found that the police had operated within reason of the law.
