Bus Hits Trailer While Carrying School Children

by Administrator 3. June 2009 06:01

A school bus in the Bonduel School District in Wisconsin was recently in an accident after it went air born and landed on its side. The accident was caused after the school bus hit a parked asphalt trailer.

The driver of the school bus and two children were injured in the accident.  They were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries,  and each are suspected to recover.

Must school buses do not have seatbelts, which normally leads to injuries of children if an accident occurs.  Some of the newer school buses do have seatbelts built in.  It is not sure if this bus had seat belts or not.

Cell Phone Use Leads to Accidents

by Administrator 1. June 2009 04:31

Individuals who use their cell phones while driving are more likely to be an accident than those that don't.  Further,  if an individual is texting while driving,  the likelihood for an accident is exponentially increased.

Countless avoidable accidents are caused each year by distracted drivers focusing on other events, instead of focusing on driving safely on the road.  It is unfortunate that this occurs, and many injuries and deaths are caused by cell phone use while driving.

The use of hands free devices reduces the changes for an accident, but the act of talking to someone else while driving poses distractions of its own.
