A man from Minnesota stole a semi-truck and drove it to Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin, the man got in an accident with a pedestrian on Saturday. The vehicle struck a pedestrian, pinning him against his vehicle.
The victim had to be taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Both of his legs were broken in the hit-and-run and one leg may possibly have to be amputated because of the injuries.
The man who stole the semi-truck then fled the scene on foot without checking on the status of the person that he had injured. A K-9 unit eventually found the man several hours later hiding in a swamp. He faces several criminal charges.
