Parents file suit against manufacturer over 4-month old’s death

Posted on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at 8:38 pm

Last month, two parents from Royal Oak filed suit against the manufacturer of a portable baby recliner called the Nap Nanny.

The wrongful death lawsuit involves the death of a couple’s 4-month old daughter.  The couple had installed the Nap Nanny in their daughter’s crib.  They found her not breathing with her head caught between a part of the baby recliner and the crib.

After the infant’s death, Nap Nanny’s manufacturer issued a recall of 30,000 units of the defective child care product.  The company is accused of negligence for not properly warning consumers of potential suffocation hazards associated with baby recliner.
