Baby found alive after being declared dead

Posted under Rhinelander medical malpractice attorneys

Five doctors from an Argentina hospital have been suspended after a newborn baby was declared dead, only to be found alive by the parents 12 hours later. The two parents went to the hospital’s morgue to see their daughter one last time when they heard a little cry.

The infant, born three months early, was immediately admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit in critical condition. Her parents say she is making tremendous improvements. She has been named “Luz Milagros,” or Miracle Light.

The parents have told the media that they plan on filing a medical malpractice suit against the hospital. The family has many questions concerning the handling of their newborn and the treatment the mother received before delivery.
