Police car involved in West Allis three-vehicle crash

An unidentified 81-year-old man was killed in a West Allis car accident on Wednesday, March 26. The accident occurred along 80th Street and Lincoln Avenue at noon.

According to accounts, a police officer was responding to a car accident at 87th Street at Lincoln when his squad car collided with another vehicle. The two vehicles then traveled into the side of an AT&T vehicle.

The policeman was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. The elderly man was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently leading an investigations for the case. The West Allis Police Deputy, Chief Robert Fletcher mentioned that the investigation could take a while since accident reconstruction is a labor-intensive process.
