A father and daughter were involved in a small, single engine plane crash in Rocky Mountain National Park. The 54-year-old father was the pilot of the plane and hi 18-year-old daughter was the passeneger.

The father is a very experienced pilot and has been flying since he was 16 and his daughter had just earned her pilot's license. Around 12:30 p.m. the Emergency LocatorTransmitter recieved a call from Civil Air Patrol and another call at 4:30 p.m., both stating that there may be a downed plane in the area.

Park Rangers were notified at 6:30 p.m. and began to survey the area, they did not find any evidence of a down plane. Around 8 p.m. there were calls about possibly seeing a fire, rangers then hiked through the forest. The two victims were found at 6:40 a.m. The father and daughter only suffered from cuts ad bruises.
