Cougar attack seriously injures horse in Wisconsin

by Administrator 22. June 2010 02:15

A cougar attack serioulsy injured a horse in Juneau County on June 14. Officials believe that this cougar is the same one who attacked and killed a sheep and a cow last month.

It was confirmed by officials that the horse was attacked by a cougar, but rumors about a local cougar den are not true. Motion-activated cameras were placed in the area where the rumored cougar den was located, but no cougars were spotted although many other wildlife creatures were found.

Officials do not plan on hunting for the cougar again until there has been a confirmed sighting. They plan to bring hunting dogs to find the cougar in order to end the attacks.
