7 Hospitalized in Wisconsin Ski-Lift Accident

by Administrator 29. December 2009 03:17

Seven people were hospitalized following a ski lift accident at Wisconsin's Devil's Head ski resort when the lift's braking system failed.  The chairs began running backwards because of the brake failure, forcing skiers to jump off the lift to avoid hitting a brick wall.

It took two hours to get everyone off the lift.  One person suffered a broken ankle, and a total of11 people were hospitalized. Other injured skiers were treated at the scene.
