A Denver news anchor was bit by a dog on live TV last week. The anchorwoman was presenting a segment on the 3-year-old Argentine mastiff, a firefighter that saved the animal from a freezing pond, and the dog’s owner.
The anchorwoman is described as being an animal lover, even hosting a weekly segment featuring animals from the Denver Zoo. During the segment, the news anchor leaned down to get closer to the dog, and it lunged at her, biting her face. She was taken to a nearby hospital and underwent a 4-hour-long reconstructive surgery requiring 70 stitches.
